Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects the way a child communicates, interacts with others, and experiences the world around them. It is called a “spectrum” because symptoms vary widely from person to person — some children may need significant support while others live very independently. Early diagnosis and therapy can make a meaningful difference in a child’s development.
- Difficulty with verbal and non-verbal communication, such as limited eye contact or speech delays
- Challenges in understanding social cues, emotions, or building friendships
- Repetitive behaviors or routines, and strong resistance to change
- Unusual sensitivity to sounds, lights, textures, or other sensory experiences
- Intense, focused interest in specific topics or objects
